Historic Royal Palaces

Historic Royal Palaces is an independent entity that manages a network of 6 Royal Palaces / British monuments that are part of the UK's leading cultural and ex-libris offer, including Tower of London, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace, The Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle.

Historic Royal Palaces's mission is to manage these 6 monuments and promote British Royal History and its Cultural Heritage.

CHALLENGE

In this project, we were asked to create an educational website for five English Royal Palaces, including the Tower of London, Kensington Palace and Hampton Court Palace.

The aim was to help visitors and groups of students better understand the history and heritage of these historic sites, with a strong component of gamification.

solution

With a very limited lead time, we opted to develop the site using a backoffice PHP framework to enable rapid production, and we started by implementing the logic for the front end presentation.

The design for the project came later so through careful project management we were able to anticipate the delivery date, ensuring a continuous and uninterrupted development cycle.
